The return of Stacey Branning was something of a shock to not only Stacey but her family after Max followed Becca to Stacey’s secret hideaway. While initially Max made it clear that he expected Stacey to go to the police and clear his dead son’s name he has since changed his mind and informed Stacey that he will never tell anybody that she was the real murderer of Archie Mitchell. But will Max keep his word or will he take Stacey to the police in due course?

The fact that Max knows that Stacey killed Archie Mitchell is something which he will “have over her” forever and something which is likely to rear its ugly head on numerous occasions in the future. Max is still hurting from the loss of Bradley and while he has let Stacey off going to the police at the moment there is speculation that at some point he will use this against to his benefit.
