The fight for Deano continues as Kevin and Shirley wrestle for his affections, while Kevin and Denise have words about how Shirley became embroiled in their lives again.

Deano is still confused about his feelings for Shirley, Carly is a little less welcoming and leaves her mother in no doubt that she is not wanted.

Elsewhere Minty, Gary and Naomi continue their battle for somewhere to live, but has Naomi saved the day - with advice about a mortgage for the three of them, which would enable them to buy their own house. While initially Minty and Gary are not sure, they discuss the matter with a mortgage adviser and start to come around to the idea.
