Tanya and Sean stand over the fresh grave into which they have placed Max. They are worn out from the stress of his capture and the physical exertion of carrying him about and burying him. If you listen carefully you can just barely hear Max’s muffled cries for help. Tanya is already having second thoughts but Sean drags her into the van for their escape from the scene.

Max is beyond horror and fear. He scuffles in the dark to find his mobile and phones Abi but loses the signal quickly due to being underground. Max’s Battery burns out leaving him hopeless in the dark of the earth.
Tanya tells Sean to burn his outfit and suggests they lay low for a bit and not be seen together.

Once she gets home Tanya really isn’t able to keep calm and serene. Burying your hubbie alive will certainly bring on a case of the jitters. Lauren doesn’t miss a trick and knows something is going on. She asks Tanya if she and Max have been fighting. Tanya sidesteps her questions but breaks down when Abi comes in with a special present for Max.

Sean washes the mud from his hands and changes into a new set of clothes. Stacy susses he has been up to no good and gives him a little third degree. Sean fumbles with his words offering puny excuses that Stacy is never going to buy. Yet Sean goes forward playing the innocent.

Stacey tells Tanya that Sean is a true villain and a danger to everyone around him. Tana pretends to be deeply hurt and offended by Stacey’s comments. She tells Stacey flat out that all is well in with her and Max and that he is upstairs sound asleep. Of course what she really meant is that he is DOWNSTAIRS and REALLY asleep!
Whether it was fear of being caught or just the guilt just catching up with her conscience Tanya hops in her car and races back to the woods. She pulls a suffocating Max out from of the coffin. Of course Max doesn’t really appreciate her saving him what with her putting him in there in the first place so he tries to strangle her. After a a bit they both collapse and wonder how it all came to this.

Sean thinks he is seeing a ghost when Max is present and accounted for back home. Tanya weary from all of it tells Sean they are through and that Max is on his way out of her life. Sean tells her he will tell all about the attempted murder to the girls but that idea is cut short when Tanya reminds him who killed Stacey’s dad.

Max has finally had enough. He is ill over what he and Tanya have become. He lets Tanya know that he truly loves her still and always will. All she need do is whistle… and he’ll return. Brokenhearted Max drives away from Walford.
