In a surprise twist, Archie’s return to the Square has thrown Peggy as she seriously contemplates forgiving her estranged husband for of all his wrongdoings in the past. However, tonight saw Phil return from his holiday with Ben and come face-to-face with Archie, the man whom he had threatened to kill them unless he left Walford forever. So what will Phil do?

Amid signs that Peggy is starting to thaw and letting Archie into her head it seems that Phil is the only person who can “save her from herself”. Peggy seems to have a very short memory when it comes to Archie but surely she will come to her senses and realise he has not changed?

Elsewhere in the Square the action with Christian and Syed seems to be hotting up with Syed admitting that he has found men attractive in the past. This seems to be the open door which Christian has been looking for although whether the two will actually become an item remains to be seen. This is a storyline which is certain to cause controversy within the Muslim community and ultimately put the diverse population of the UK back under the spotlight.
