Pop legend Michael Jackson has died this evening at the age of 50 after suffering a heart attack on a return to the States. After he stopped breathing at his home in Bel-Air he suffered a suspected heart attack and was pronounced dead at the scene despite vigourous attempts to resuscitate the worldwide pop star on his way to hospital.

Jackson has been at the centre of various health scares over the years although nobody appears to have expected the development this evening which ultimately ended in his death. It seems as though years of medical issues and medical problems have now taken their toll and thousands of fans had gathered outside of the hospital and his home to pay tribute. The story has hit the headlines around the world with millions of Jackson fans devastated at the news although perhaps in a way content that his days of suffering are over.
