Of all of the unlikely couples on Albert Square, Jack Branning and Chelsea are not two which you would normally put together. They are from very different social backgrounds, very different ages and appear to be two very different characters. However, Jack would appear to have fallen for Chelsea and Chelsea would appear to have fallen for Jack in perhaps Eastenders most unlikely romance for many years.

The couple have recently gone “public” regarding their friendship and many believe this could actually be the making of Chelsea who has had something of a difficult childhood and a very difficult recent past. Jack Branning may not be the “cleanest” of boyfriends due in the main to his past history in the police force and his knowledge of the criminal fraternity but he appears to be a calming influence upon Chelsea, at least at the moment.

There is talk that Jack Branning will become involved, as an innocent party, in a shootout as gangland warfare hits Walford with Billie the real target of his former gang member friends.
