As the battle for custody of Amy came to a conclusion many people are asking is Roxy a good mother? While there is no doubt that Jack has played the role of father for some time now there is some concern about Roxy’s living arrangements with the Mitchell family and the problems which they continue to bring to their own doorstep.

There is also some concern that Jack was willing to pass Amy from pillar to post while he was at work and this is perhaps not the right environment in which to bring up a young child. There is also the influence of Derek who continues to pull the strings of Max and Jack causing major problems for anybody around them. The perfect story would be for Roxy and Jack to get back together because many people believe this is what they want but because of the issue of Ronnie they are concerned about how she would take it and how the rest of the family would react.

While the custody battle for Amy has been going on for some time now it was over relatively quickly after Jack admitted forging a passport application for Amy by adding Roxy’s signature. Whether or not you agree with Roxy using this particular issue to blackmail Jack and effectively get him to give drop the court case is a matter for debate but the truth is that any mother would potentially have done the same?

It will be interesting to see how the relationship between Jack and Roxy develops or does not develop in the short to medium term because there are obviously still feelings between them and once the storm over the court case calms down who knows what will happen.
