Tonight’s Eastenders saw Phil literally on the verge of a nervous breakdown after Peggy decided to lock him in the front room to try and get him off crack cocaine. However, Billy decided that Phil needed help and opened the door at which point Phil grabbed his crowbar and decided to break his way out of the front room. After an argument with Peggy he then decided to set the Queen Vic alight and havoc broke loose.

After an eventful few moments when Stacy was trapped upstairs with her baby, Ryan came to the rescue and saved her. Peggy managed to drag Phil out of the Queen Vic and staggered through the front door herself. Phil is not in a very good state and we were left wondering whether this is the end of the Mitchell clan and whether Phil is in fact dead.

This was one of the hardest hitting, most emotional and visually eye-catching few moments in the history of Eastenders and the Queen Vic. Is Phil dead? Is Stacy dying? Is Peggy about to give up and move on?
