As Peggy gets ready to marry Archie, who is obviously only after her money and the Queen Vic pub, the character of Archie seems to be getting worse and worse. Not only has he told his daughter Ronnie that the baby she gave away for adoption is dead, tried to sabotage Peggy’s attempt to stand for Council, ruined Phil’s love life but now he’s told Danielle that her mother is unstable and she needs to “trust him”.

While Archie has only been around for a short while he has caused mayhem in the square although his sneaky ways are sure to come back and catching him out at some stage. We have seen the likes of Dirty Den, Nick Cotton and an array of other “bad apples” in the square but is Archie the worst character of all time?

His storylines are taking more headlines and there is sure to be more behind the man than we have seen so far. Surely he has his weaknesses?
