Tonight’s episode of Eastenders started with Jay in a hospital bed and Jase concerned over his health and wellbeing. Jay blamed Dawn for the accident as he had not been looking after his son properly. She later gave them both an ultimatum that they be together properly or she walked away.

Jack Branning had been feeling guilty over the little time that he spent with his daughter Penny and arranged a pre-birthday meal with her and his ex-wife. Selina said that she would make up a bed for Jack to stay overnight. They shared a romantic moment.

Christian looks like he has injected a breath of fresh air into Albert Square as he came to the rescue, after a messed-up catering order. Ian thought the order was for 20 guests, when it was actually for 200 and more vol-au-vents were urgently needed. There followed a farcical period when Ian, in a rush to get more supplies, bumped into Billy and dropped his car keys down the drain. He proceeded to get the keys out but got his hand stuck! Christian enlisted Roxie and her car to get more ingredients and helped Jane to get the order ready
