Tonight’s episode of Eastenders started with Billy hiding the Charity collection box into a skip and him later counting out the cash. Holly is completely unaware that Billy has been sacked from his job on the fruit and veg stall (thinking Ian has given him some time off) and that they will soon be homeless. Billy later goes to see a flat.
Honey almost catches Billy counting the money and as she reads the headlines of the Walford Gazette (about the thief), he feels guilty.

Dot is stressed out about having to visit Jim, but is having rehearsals for the nativity play. Abi has been promoted from being a donkey to being an angel (Dot has re-written the script after Yolande’s accident).

Jane is nervous about her forthcoming trip to the hospital for the removal of her bag – it just brings back bad memories for her. Tension continues in the cafe as Steven turns up with grapes and magazines for Jane, and is promptly thrown out by Ian. Ian later throws Steven out for a second time!

To lighten the mood, Peggy’s sister Sal is about to have a birthday party and has bought her own presents (to save having to take them back!). Peggy is suspicious of the gift that Billy and Honey get for Sal and she snaps at Billy eventually revealing that he is a thief.
