Rather than having a happy and romantic Valentine’s Day, four of our Eastenders were coming to terms with the fallout of Max and Stacey’s affair.
For Max and Tanya, it was the day of the divorce hearing and they both appeared in court with their lawyers. Tanya’s lawyer had managed to lose the CD containing evidence of the affair and tried to persuade Tanya to go for “unreasonable behaviour†as the grounds for the divorce. As Tanya’s lawyer provided evidence, Max made snide remarks to his lawyer and generally wound up Tanya. She, in turn tried to attack him physically – which did nothing for her case. After the hearing, it became apparent that he had bribed the secretary of Tanya’s lawyer and persuaded her to “lose†the evidence – in return for money and a date.
Stacey turned up unannounced at Bradley’s address (with the intention to post a card) and gave him a Valentine card with tickets to the Dr. Who convention. However, she jumped to conclusions when she saw a woman in her nightdress walk down the stairs and ask Bradley for a cup of tea. Stacey left not knowing that Bradley had two lesbian housemates.
Back in Albert Square, Charlie was remembering his wife and visited her grave (with Mo) and placed Valentine flowers there.
