What started out as a “friendly†game of pool for Jack Branning and Phil Mitchell, tuned into a “tit for tat†set of arguments regarding who was the best father and extremely large bets – half of the R&R club versus half of the Queen Vic. Phil does not agree to this but wants Jack out of town. Jack knew all about Stella and her treatment of Ben and Phil knew that Jack was not good to his daughter and left. With Jase and later Max present, it was like a gathering of Eastenders Bad Fathers. Max showed his loyalties to Phil rather than his brother , just as Tanya’s waters broke and contractions started.
Elsewhere in Albert Square, Billy’s run of bad luck continues. He admits to Honey that he has lost his night-time job (but she is unaware of the full picture on their lack of money). He is forced to beg Ian Beale for his job back only to be told “no†and resorts to smashing open the charity statue ,that is outside of the Queen Vic.
