Tonight’s Eastenders focussed on quite a few of the characters of Albert Square.

After hardly saying a word, it seemed as though Burt’s grandson, “J” is auditioning for a part in Oliver ! Complete with hood, he decided to try his luck by thieving from the market, pinching a tip from the cafe and stealing chocolates from Patrick and Yolande’s shop (whilst pretending to help out).  His grandfather Burt has become his idol after revealing that he had spent time in prison.

Darren and Squiggle enjoyed a slap up meal at the Argy Bhaji (in an attempt to keep her quiet about Darren’s profitable business) - but Mickey spotted them.

May decided to play tricks on husband Rob and his lover Dawn, by buying Dawn horrid maternity clothes as a “treat”. She turned up at the cafe hoping to catch the pair together, but humiliated Dawn. The end of the episode saw a twist, as it became apparent that May had asked for Rob to woo Dawn again to keep her onside. Can he be trusted though?
