Tonight’s episode of Eastenders started with Shirley dumping Garry’s things out of her window, in a none too subtle way of explaining that she wanted him to leave. Shirley was excited that Dean would be leaving prison that day and coming to stay with her. She cooked Heather a fry-up breakfast and then also asked her to leave. However, Shirley took Heather around to Minty’s flat where she explained that Hazel still loved Minty and had told Garry to “let Minty down”. At this, Minty raced around to The Arches and made up with Garry offering him his room back.

After receiving work to put on a gay party, Ian decided to make-up with Christian and said that he could stay in the Beale household. However, he left the client with Christian, to be told later that the client wanted a date with Ian!

Deano returned to Albert Square and seems to have a complete personality change. Dressed in a smart suit and sporting several days of stubble, Deano ordered Shirley to pay for a prostitute for him and later took her money, threatened her and hit Sean in the Queen Vic. He was less than pleasant to Chelsea too – but who can blame him. What is he planning next?
