Tonight’s Eastenders was dominated by three ladies, May, Dawn and Shirley who all have different goals in life, and different ways of obtaining them.

May

May seems determined to have her child at any price, even letting her husband Rob continue his affair with Dawn in order to keep her sweet.  This all seems a little extreme but does May have other plans? Will Rob suffer after the baby is born? Is May planning to go it alone?

Dawn thinks that she is in control, but May is a very strong determined lady.

Dawn

As she falls deeper and deeper in love with Rob she seems oblivious to what is happening around her and the fact that May and Rob are playing with her.  Dreaming of a life away from the square with Rob, with May’s money, Dawn struggles to contain her feelings - even lashing out with her vicious tongue at step father Keith.

It looks as though Dawn may well be the one to suffer when this storyline comes to its dramatic conclusion over the weeks and months ahead.

Shirley

If ever one person tried to buy friendship and affection it was Shirley, spending her wages on Mickey (and flirting with him) only to invite Deano and Chelsea to help her spend her cash.  Deano is in a confused state of mind at the moment, looking for a parental figure for support - leaving the road clear for Shirley now that Kevin has disappeared.

Carly is devastated when Deano opts for a night out with his mother, rather than a meal with the “family”.  There are certain to be more sparks over the weeks ahead as Carly and Shirley continue there feud. 

Do not under estimate Carly!

There are a few storylines bubbling under the surface, with Stella set to make a return as Phil begs forgiveness.  Will Stella come back as the same person who left? Or are we about to see a different side to the mild mannered solicitor?
