After weeks of turmoil it seemed that Martin and Sonia were finally going their separate ways. A boozy send off in the Queen Vic was the last thing Sonia wanted, but Jim and Dot felt this was the only way to see her off. 

After a heartbreaking chat with Rebecca, Sonia finally make plans to leave the square for (guess where!) Manchester, jumping into her taxi, leaving a heart broken Jim behind.  Unknown to Sonia, Martin has had a serious think about his life, loves and future - and he wants Sonia.  Rebecca and Martin pack their bags to leave Eastenders behind and catch Sonia just before her taxi pulls away - a happy ending at last!

Elsewhere its yet more doom and gloom at the Wicks household as Kevin tries hard to put recent events and revelations behind him.  While everyone seems to be getting along again, Carly rocks the boat with a vicious out burst at Kevin.  Shocked by Carly’s harsh words, Kevin packs his bags, takes his passport and heads for the open road devoid of his usual buoyant attitude to life.

The Dawn and Rob show continues to run out of control with Dawn not able to appreciate that Rob is using her to guarantee his future family WITH May.  Will Dawn realise before it is too late, or is Rob really being genuine?
