Doctor Harold Legg, played by actor Leonard Fenton, is due to make a short term return to Eastenders as Dot struggles to hold on to baby George. Desperate for advice from a trusted friend she turns to Dr Legg, who left the Square in 1997 (although he did return for fleeting appearances in 2000 and 2004). Her old friend talks some sense into Dot, and she quickly realises what she needs to do.
Dr Legg originally appeared in the show in 1985 and was involved in a number of major storylines up until he left in 1997. He was always there for people on the Square, forming a close relationship with the likes of Dot, Pauline and Ethel which helped to created the community spirit in Eastenders.
It will be interesting to see the return of such an old friend of the show.
