The colourful life of Ian Beale took a further turn for the worst last week with news that he has been blackmailed by Janine and Archie and has effectively sold the Mitchells and his half brother down the river. He is desperate to make up with Jane after her recent disappearance and having spent the night with Janine, who recorded their liaison, he has had to sell the loan he gave to the Mitchell family to Archie.

This effectively gives Archie control of the Queen Vic as the Mitchells are not in a position to pay back the loan over the given time period. It is only a matter of time before Ian’s actions become public knowledge and the reasons for his change of mind are likely to cause ructions with his relationship with Jane. The colourful life of Ian Beale is about to get a lot more colourful and nobody really knows exactly what is around the corner!
