Heather cannot understand Shirley’s lack of interest in Vinnie.  She kicks Shirley out, and invites Vinnie round.  When Shirley returns, she hears Vinnie talking to Heather and suspects the worst.  She bursts into the room expecting to see Heather making a move on Vinnie, but instead finds her helping him to make her a romantic lunch.  Shirley asks Vinnie why he keeps trying with her, and he replies that he enjoys a challenge.

Ronnie and Roxy prepare for the opening night of R&R.  Ronnie trips and hurts her arm, and Roxy insists that she must go to hospital.  Roxy takes her, and flirts with the doctor at the hospital.  Upon their return, the girls discover that Dawn has signed for a delivery of booze, but there was no booze in the delivery.  Peggy lets them borrow drink from The Vic, and later the club opens its doors.  The locals are impressed, and Peggy is happy to see another Mitchell success.  However, when Ronnie enters the office, she finds Jack sat the desk…

Meanwhile in Albert Sqaure, Dot returns home and is unhappy to find that Jean has moved in.  She goes out and tries to avoid everyone.  She later admits to Bradley that she is struggling to cope with Jim in hospital, and is further upset when Jean breaks Jim’s favourite mug.  Darren accuses Kevin of selling dodgy motors, but Kevin ignores him.  Phil tells Kevin that a new delivery is due soon, and Kevin agrees to sell them on the condition that Carly is not involved.
