Kevin goes to see Phil about the dodgy cars. He tells Phil that he has sold the Jag to PC Morris, but Phil is uninterested. He maintains that it is Kevin’s problem, and tells Kevin that he has been paying Darren to keep quiet. Kevin is furious with Darren, and sacks him. However, Darren wants to put the situation right, and Kevin appreciates his efforts. The pair torch the car, and Kevin offers Darren his job back. Later, Phil calls on Kevin to check that the issue is dealt with. Kevin tells Phil that he wont take any more dodgy cars, but Phil tells him that if he doesn’t, Kevin will lose the car lot.

Roxy checks the sound system at the club, but the electrics fail. Phil offers his help, but Ronnie is insistent that she will find someone else. She is unable to find anyone, and has to ask Phil for his help. She is shocked at the electrician’s bill, but is happy when she haggles him down. However, she is unaware that Phil simply removed a couple of fuses.

Meanwhile in Albert Square, Billy is late for work at the stall, and Ian lets him know that it is not good enough. Billy is frustrated with Peggy’s attempts to raise money for Down’s syndrome.
