Jane BealeJane sits at the table looking at Ian’s passport. She forces Peter and Lucy to go to School despite their attempts at skiving, and takes their mobiles in case Ian (or anyone else) tries to get in contact with them. At the café, the locals gossip about Ian’s sudden disappearance. They presume that Ian has left Jane, causing Jane to lose her temper.

Later at the police station, the officer suggests that Ian may have fabricated the stalking in order to leave Jane. Gina follows Jane to Pats and pushes a photo of Cindy Junior through the door. Jane and Pat confront her in the café, and Jane is unconvinced that Gina has travelled just to deliver a photo. Jane returns home, and cries when she sees there are no messages. Pat phones Steven, who announces that he is in London visiting some ‘old friends’. Steven turns around, and is revealed as the youth who stood over Ian on Friday…

Shirley’s landlord offers to sleep with her in order to cover the rent. Shirley allows him to undress, only to throw his clothes out of the window, leaving him to go outside in his pants. Later, Shirley begs Heather to lend her some money, and eventually asks Heather to move in so they can split the rent. Heather is unsure due to her ‘frail’ mother, who later announces that Heather has no job and no money.

Meanwhile, Jay fails to return Roxy’s underwear, and instead steals her engagement ring. Later Jay uses £500 from a ‘savings account’ to buy some tools from Billy to enable his dad to work on the refit. Stacey is forced to take an early lunch by Mo, who has had a job lot of wedding dresses delivered to the house. Jean sees Stacey in one of the dresses, forcing Stacey to tell her that she does not need her to make the dress. Later, Jean disappears…
