As Ronnie and Roxy return, Peggy checks her bruising in the mirror. Ronnie and Roxy panic as they see that the door has been forced open, and when they see Peggy’s bruise they tell her to phone the police. Peggy reassures them that she is fine, and delays contacting the police. The loss adjustor arrives to check the details of Peggy’s claim. Peggy is taken back when he tells her that there will be no payout without a crime number from the police.  Sean tells Peggy that she cannot involve the police as it looks like she was assaulted, and the risks are too high for him. He refuses to return the cash that he stole. Ronnie begins to suspect that Peggy is hiding something after she snaps at the customers, and goes to chase the police up. Peggy hangs up the phone in time, and admits that she staged the break-in, in the hope of receiving insurance money. Ronnie is furious, but is distracted when Sean enters. He gives Ronnie and Roxy the cash, claiming that he could not trust Peggy with it.
Meanwhile, after more jibes from Rachel, Tanya admits to Stacey that her and Max’s wedding is crumbling apart. When Sean turns on the charms, she moves in to kiss him. Masood arranges for Mo to sell Peggy’s old furniture, but is distracted and Mo takes some of their items as well. Masood later buys it back from her. An old friend of Jase’s appears at The Vic, encouraging Jase to see his old friends. Jase is adamant that he is not interested. Jase assembles a new pram for Dawn, and things are going well between the pair. However, Dawn reacts badly when Jase offers her money for new toys.
