Violence On The SquareIt is all quiet in The Vic, when the doors suddenly fly open and a gang of thugs rush in. Terry and his mates start trashing the pub, ignoring Peggy’s demands to stop. With fists and glasses flying there is little that the locals can do. Terry is irritated when he realises that Jase is nowhere to be seen. He notices Keith and Micky looking at each other funnily, and realises that they know where Jase is. He threatens Mickey, but is interrupted when he hears a baby crying upstairs. Peggy, Ronnie and Roxy stand in the way of the gang, and explain that there is just a baby and a pregnant woman (Honey) upstairs. The gang persists, and Patrick stands up to Bird.

At the Miller’s, Dawn hears Summer stirring and goes to settle her. Jase hears a noise outside, and sees gang members outside The Vic. She soon realises that something is wrong and calls the police. Jase is led to the barrel room, but Honey hears that he is in trouble. She puts herself in-between the gang members and Jase, but is knocked over when Jase and Bird fight. She cries in agony, clutching her stomach. The gang head off, and the police arrive seconds after. Jase gets Ian’s car keys and rushes Honey to hospital. Peggy hears about Honey, and tries to reach Billy. The police take statements. Billy arrives at the hospital and hits Jase. He goes in to be by Honey’s side. Minty quizzes Jase about his hooligan past, but Jase is more worried about Honey and the baby. Honey gives birth, but the baby is not breathing. Billy and Honey watch on in horror as the doctors try to resuscitate their newborn son. Jase watches on from outside…
