In Eastenders tonight, Peggy is unimpressed with the strained atmosphere, as Ronnie and Roxy fail to make up. She asks Phil if everything is okay between them, and then asks him to sort out the girls. Roxy is pleased to see Jase, but Ronnie presumes she only went to him after their argument. Phil goes to visit Jack, and offers him forty five thousand for his stake in the club. Later, Ronnie confronts Phil and tells him that she does not want him butting in. She packs her bags and prepares to leave The Vic.
Ian shows Jane the birthday cakes that he has prepared for Peter and Lucy. Jane tells him that this is not what Lucy probably had in mind, but Ian is aware of this. Ian warns Steven away from Lucy, and Stacey makes jibes at Steven. He pushes her clothes over and tells her not to laugh at him. Lucy invites Steven to the party, and he is happy to be going. Pat presumes that Ian allowed him to go after she spoke to him. Jane is petrified when Steven arrives, and Tanya cannot believe that he is there. Ian plays along, as Steven reminisces about the twin’s birth, and the snow dome that he was given. He explains that he wants to give the twins the snow dome, but Ian is unmoved and smashes it. Steven storms back to Pats and grabs some booze. He breaks into the Arches and pours petrol everywhere. Stacey sees him, and cannot believe what he is doing. She asks him if he has a death wish, and he tells her that he might well have. He closes the door, and picks up some matches…
Meanwhile in Albert Square, Tanya asks Yolande to let Dot produce the nativity play, but Dot clearly expected the leading directing role, not an assistant job. Hazel and Minty are visited by the competition judge, and are told that they are likely to win. However, Gary does his best to ruin their chances of winning as the judge leaves.
