Actor Christopher Ellison formerly known as DCI Frank Burnside of The Bill, is set to join Eastenders as a love interest for Pat. 

The unlikely duo meet up when Pat’s car breaks down and Ellison’s new character “Len Harker” comes to the rescue.  He falls for Pat’s charms and pursues his love interest back to the Square, but will hard woman Pat soften to his charms?

It has been some time since Pat had a love interest, even though she has been through 4 marriages on the show - all of which have ended in disaster and controversy.  While Ellison has been signed up for at least 4 episodes, he may be invited to stay for longer depending upon how the audience take to the new character.

Ellison’s first scenes will be on air in August.
