The main storyline in Eastenders at the moment is the wedding of Dawn and Gary and the other complications which always surround an Eastenders wedding. Dawn has just ended her affair with Phil and while Gary was initially in the dark, until his friend Minty stepped forward, all hell is set to break loose as Gary realises he has been duped. So the question is does Dawn really deserve Gary?

There are two ways to look at this, will Dawn make Gary truly happy and will Gary make Dawn happy?

While it would appear that Gary does not exactly set the world alight for Dawn, she feels happy and safe in his company and he gets on very well with her child. Whether she is settling for second best is debatable but ultimately if she can be happy in the long-term then what is the problem?

Gary has been chasing Dawn for many years now and even now he still can’t believe that they are getting married. Deep down it seems as though Gary knows that Dawn does not love him as much as she may have loved Jason but he seems happy to be with her and happy to make a life for them in the future.

There are many rumours as to what Dawn and Gary may or may not do in the short to medium term and we await future developments.
