Janine Butcher is a very interesting character who has a history of becoming involved in deaths, with her former husband Barry having “fallen” down a rocky hill to his ultimate death. We all know that Janine was directly involved in his murder although nothing was ever proved and she “escaped” any potential action by the police. But is she involved in the death of Archie this time?

There is no doubt that Janine has a temper and she had the motive and the means to kill Archie purely and simply because he had “led her up the garden path”. She was promised a new life in the Vic after which Archie ruthlessly threw her out and left her homeless and freezing in the street. We saw Janine pacing up and down in the cab office and there was a look of menace in her eyes as she contemplated her revenge.

However, the fact that everybody in Eastenders appears to blame Janine for Archie Mitchell’s death would appear to be too obvious and it is likely we can look elsewhere.
