Grant Mitchell, the brother of Phil Mitchell and son of Peggy Mitchell, was a prominent part of Eastenders many years ago although the actor left for pastures new. However, he has been brought back into the storyline over the last few months and there is some speculation that we could see Grant Mitchell revealed as the killer although whether he will receive justice remains to be seen.

This is possibly the kind of storyline which Eastenders has become well-known for, springing secret surprises and secret returns. It will be interesting to see how the storyline develops and whether indeed we see the return of Grant Mitchell in the short to medium term and whether clues emerge regarding his possible participation in Archie’s death.

Grant Mitchell is a character which has lived on despite the fact he has not appeared in Eastenders for many years and is one which many people believe had something to do with the ultimate and untimely death of Archie Mitchell.
