In one of the craziest storylines Eastenders has seen for many years, Bianca yesterday told her son Morgan that his father was Barack Obama!

Now we have seen some weird and wonderful storylines on Eastenders but this one is something very different and very funny. However, when you take into account the fact that Morgan has already been scouring the Internet to see more information about his “father” this really is a recipe for disaster. When will Bianca finally tell Morgan who his father is? What will Morgan do next to find his father?

While there is obviously a serious side to this particular story, many people will be happy to see a more light-hearted approach to ongoing storylines. We have seen the death of Pat, babies switched, babies dying and a whole host of other depressing and sad storylines. However, if you take away the more serious elements of some of the depressing storylines Eastenders also has some very nice and very fetching humour.

A number of Eastenders fans have commented that sometimes the programme is far too serious while others welcome a more lifelike approach to the programme. However, if only the scriptwriters could find something of a balance between humour and serious storylines then perhaps those Eastenders fans who have left the show would return?
