aspace.jpgAstronauts aboard the International Space Station orbiting the Earth have demanded that episodes of Eastenders are broadcast live to their living quarters on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays for the omnibus edition. It seems that demand for Eastenders is truly galaxy wide and the BBC, in conjunction with the International Space Station, has been more than happy to oblige.

Loof Lirpa, a spokesperson for the BBC, confirmed that the astronauts had been in contact requesting that episodes were beamed live instead of having to wait until they returned to Earth. These are the only TV programmes which have ever been beamed live to an International Space Station, or spaceship, and the BBC are rightly proud of the worldwide success of the programme.

Despite the fact that the space station consists of astronauts from America, Russia, Japan, Canada and Europe it appears that Eastenders is a firm favourite across the board. Whatever next!
