A recent Inside Soap poll has shown that Sharon is the character that most viewers would want to see return for a special Christmas twist. Alas, this is not on the cards, but neither are the other poll outcomes. Sean is the character that most viewers want to share an intimate moment with under the mistletoe, and the Queen Vic was voted as the best venue to hold a work Christmas party. Well, things would certainly be more lively there than at my local!

Apparently, there are many secrets which viewers are unaware of, particularly regarding something that happened when she was younger. Eastenders creator Tony Holland has passed away at the age of 67. He had been unwell for some time. Holland and Julia Smith created the show, which was first broadcast in 1985. He won the British soap special achievement award in 2002, and was responsible for much of the original casting and many of the classic storylines.

Meanwhile, Bobby Davro has spoken of his amazement at the positive reaction he has received from Eastenders fans. Davro joined the soap a few months ago as Vinnie, after knocking Shirley down in his car.
