It is no secret that Sid Owen, who plays Ricky Butcher is set to return to Eastenders and Sid thinks it will be a hit amongst fans of the show.  Sid and Patsy Palmer (who played his estranged wife Bianca) are both set to return and in contact with the scriptwriters to provide some input to the storyline.

In an interview, he says that the return of old characters works and that it will help to keep its ratings up.  Scriptwriter Simon Ashdown (who did a number of the original stories on Ricky and Bianca) has been brought back and writing will start in the next week. No doubt, we will be hearing Bianca’s  “Rickaaaaaaaaaay” rather soon.
